In 1994, I have started my journey in the world of technologies to the point of participating in the research activities promoted by the chair of Sociology in the Orientale University of Naples.
Joining the research group of Umanesimo & Tecnologia [Humanism and Technology], I have got fascinated to this program, aimed to identify and experiment dialogue instruments for a constructive comparison between the humanist-area creative and emerging new media creative.
The principal target was to create a background for a working environment, fair for the development of the fundamental cooperation models of job planning, of the new necessary paradigms for the sustainable development of the emerging Industry of Creative Digital Contents.
I was committed starting from the analysis of theoretical and experimental points of view dictated by field experience to explore problems which where descending from the “communication dyscrasia” that was configuring between these two competing environments, two fields, two cultures which were deeply separated. Accruing the conviction that the necessary action is to spread, in relation to the digital culture, a positive message towards the humanistic space; I was trying to contrast the exclusivist approach that computer technicians were gaining in the first years of development of new technologies for communication and digital media production.
With the construction of the “Hypgnosis” laboratory, in 1996, supported in its design by enterprises and institutions, I worked for two years in a multidisciplinary and inter-organizational project team, where research, creativity, design and production were led to pre-industrial development for multimedia communication services and products for the Digital Content industry; in this model, the facilitator of the communication processes of the humanistic and the technological areas for the multimedia production throught the building line is the MARKETING function, which is entrusted, in contrasting position if compared to the usual high-tech enterprises schemes, to an Humanist.
In the following years, as a free researcher and under the aegis of non-profit organizations, Local Government Institutions and the Academy, I worked at the definition of multiple projects, either for a private and public audience.
In 2005, as a synthesis of a fraction of my activities of study and research moved towards the development of the Information’s Society, I perceive by intuition that the “short circuit” in his development is basically between people over a certain age and elders; the “digital” which divides Italy is majorly Cultural, especially in the population age 45+.
I design a project which i call PDCo45 and I propose to the Academy the necessity to introduce on the market a new professional profile, which I like to define as “Mediator of Digital Culture”.
The enlightened Suor Orsola University of Naples, first in Italy, establishes ante-litteram the first post-graduate program for Mediators of Digital Culture trying to sensitize the Institutions of this problem, still not fully comprehended in Italy. Some years later, the EU announces that there is a tangible risk of social exclusion of a great branch of the population provoked by a cultural gap towards the Digital Culture.
The effect of this phenomenon a big minority of the citizens are placed in the condition of cultural disability which might be the potential cause of social exclusion, but he keeps on working for a full right of membership in the Information Society.
Still working in the other segment, the one related to the productive aspects of research themes started with the project Umanesimo e Tecnologia, in 2007, with the final aim to apply the new model of productive organization, experimented in the previous years, I build the Rebel Alliance Hypgnosis Enterprise, which in a few years reaches the peak in a majority of the segments in Italy’s Industry of Digital Contents.
In 2010 Rebel Alliance, after the headquarters in Rome, opens a branch in Hollywood, California, United States.
In 2011 Rebel Alliance awarded of the David di Donatello as “Best Digital Visual Effects” from the Italian Movie Academy.
In 2012 Rebel Alliance, guided by an industrial philosophy which builds a strong foundation for its innovative organizational paradigm in multidisciplinary research - which Vittorio experimented in first person in the previous years - enlarges its network.
Rebel Alliance is devoted to consultancy, management and production in the Industry of Digital Contents; comprehending digital studios and artists, researchers and various professionals in a particular cooperative ecosystem which virtually operates in Europe, North/South America and Middle East, and looking forward to the opening its fifth branch in Asia.
